One day, Billy asks his dad "what are politics?"

His dad responds "I am the bread-winner in the family, think of me as 'capitalism.' Your mother controls our money and rules, think of her as 'the governemnt.' The maid, Lupita, takes care of the chores around the house and without her we couldn't function properly, so think of her as 'the working-class.' Your brother is very young, but if we give him a nice, stable atmosphere he will turn out ok, so think of him as 'the future.' And you. You don't really do anything, but we try to provide for you, so think of yourself as 'the people.' Now go think about what I've said and explain it to me when you understand."

Billy left and pondered his dad's analogies.

That night his brother started crying, so he walked into his room and saw that he had horribly soiled his diapers. He wanted to get one of his parents, but his father wasn't in the bed and his mother wouldn't wake up, so he wandered over to the maid's room. The door was locked, but he could see through the key-hole that his dad and the maid were gettin' it on, so he ignored the crying and went back to sleep.

The next day he walked up to his dad and said "I understand politics. Capitalism is screwing the working-class while the government is asleep, the people are being ignored, and the future is in deep sh!t."

I don't know if this is the best spot to put this, but here goes.

Chris Rock's Quote of the Day:

"You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy,
the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the
Swiss hold the America's Cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance,
Germany doesn't want to go to war, and the three most powerful men in
America are named 'Bush', 'Dick', and 'Colon'. Need I say more?"
