Does the Navy have any PME opportunities targeted to the O-3 level? AF has Squadron Officer School for mid level O-3s before doing ACSC at the O-4 level and I'm interested to know if the Navy has anything similar.

Get your JPME out of the way. You do not need to be an O-4 (in the Navy anyway) to start working on it through ACSC.

I did the ACSC DL program (version 4.0). Six books, six exams and you're done. There are much more difficult ways to do it :)

I did it as an O4 (sel)

ACSC now requires you to be an O-4 select for enrollment.

Damn, this just isn't my week. You're right. I called them up to verify the change. They said the changed occurred in March '06 (about 7 months after I had enrolled) and was due to the Navy, not them. The Navy told them not to accept any more O-3 applicants. Now, you must be at least an O-4 select.

Signing up online w/ them as anything other than AF/AFR/ANG requires DEERS to show you as an O-4 already. Already tried as a select. Sister services apparently require you to already be wearing it acc. to their website. Only blue suits get the select privilege now.

She specifically told me you had to be at least an O-4 select for the Navy. I didn't ask about any other services and I made it clear to her that I was only interested in Navy requirements. I'd call em up if I were you and see if you can enroll over the phone.
