Ok folks .... get this CRAP!!!

It's 4 days until OCS, I've quit my job and prepared everything. My recruiter calls and says that NOMI has denied my medical because even though my anthro measurments are WITHIN LIMITS, I can only fit into an F-18 so they will not approve my medical and therfore I cannot attend OCS. Needless to say I AM REALLY REALLY SHOCKED AND PISSED OFF!!!!!!

If anyone knows of anyone or anything that may be able to help me PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! My recrutier says that he is trying his best to fight this but that NOMI is not budging. Thanks in advance and to all you that I will be missing on Sunday ..... PLEASE understand what a wonderful opportunity you have and make the best of it!

that's tough man, especially that close to going to OCS ...

but don't you think the Marines would be wasting a lot of money and time if they sent you to Primary and you finish with less than the required NSS to fly Jets? ... would you expect them to send you to Jets anyways and send somebody else who does have jet grades and want jets to another airframe?

and what happens if you do get jets, but don't finish with the highest NSS, you expect them to send you to fly Hornets and send the top guy/gal to fly Prowlers or Harriers even though he/she might want Hornets also?

it sucks for you right now but it only sounds fair to me ... i'd guess somewhere in the U.S. a recruiter is fighting for his guy/gal to get your slot at OCS, but has the anthro measurments for all the airframes the Corps has to offer ...

as for advice, since you are pretty much committed to OCS, maybe see if you can grab a ground contract for the time being, and work the issue when you get done with OCS ...

If it is the truth I agree, but .... when calling NOMI I was told that if I can fit in an F-18 I should be able to fit into anything. I was also told that I had been put down for NFO instead of SNA. Things just don't seem right with all of this. I will keep the ball rolling.
