What requirements do I need to have in order to be competitive for a guarenteed PLC air slot? Do I need to take the ASTB or can I just use my ASVAB scores? What PFT scores will I need to be considered? I'll be a freshman in college, E-2 reservist with a 93 on the ASVAB when I send in my application for a pilot slot...any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

On the last board in my region the people selected had pretty high scores the average PFT score was a 280, gpa was 3.4, and ASTB was a 6 & 7. If you want an air slot then you need to take the ASTB. If you never took the SAT then the ASVAB score should have an EL score of 115 minimum, they don't look at the percentile. If you want to be competitive in the PFT get a score of 250+.
