OK I have some questions that I am really having trouble with in finding the answers, I am getting the last things ready for OCS and I was wondering if anyone knew some answers to these questions. 1) I say within the list of gear to bring to OCS they stated that women bring a dark catalina swim suit. But as for men do we need to bring swim trunks for the swim test or are they provided? 2) Are we allowed to bring googles for the pool (the chlorine messes with my eyes)? 3)How much cash is recommended that we bring? I thought that $200 should be sufficient, but can someone give their input. Thanks for any responses

I'm with you, I would like to bring goggles too, but I'm pretty sure if they are trying to test your water survival skills they aren't going to let you have them, unless maybe you can get a medical clearance.
My thinking is you won't have time to grab your goggles if you have to go overboard while out at sea, so they probably won't let you have them at OCS.
Some of the journals I've read from folks who have been to OCS say not to bring any trunks, and $300 is a good amount to bring with you.
