You would be about 5 minutes from "the beach" and 15 from the base. There is 50 feet of water access here too. It is quiet and shady. There are 2 restuarants within a mile. The coffee shop is 2 miles. If you are a golfer, there are 2 courses within 5 minutes, as well.
