PCS move question

From what I understand is that you do not get a PCS move until you reach primary, correct? Second, is the move from done from your current residence to your primary squadron or from your home of record? I'm just curious how much sh!t I should pack with me when I drive across for OCS in 2 weeks Any help is appreciated as usual!

Here is an old post of mine that deals with the same question. The whole thread has some good info. Bottom line, if you are OCS directly from the civilian world, you will not get a move until your first permanent duty station (primary, not API). The move will be authorized from your home of record or anywhere closer to Whiting or Corpus (or Vance!). Pack as much as you can fit in your car.
