Ok... so Mrs Bubba and I were going to go spend the weekend at the MWR resort @ Pacific Beach, WA. Hindsight being 20/20 (without PRK), not such a good idea.
1. The place is a ghost town. There is absolutely nothing there. The one bar in town closed a while ago. They've tried to reopen it several times with no luck.
2. The hotel itself sucks. We check in, and the bedding is dirty and smelly. There is no bathtub in the room. Only a small, dark stand-up shower. The rooms were way too small. A single queen sized bed took up over half the room.
3. House keeping sucked. After telling the front desk about the bedding, we waited while housekeeping "changed" the linens. And by change, I mean sprayed them with F'Breeze.
4. The 2 closest towns (about 30 minutes away) are Hoaquiam and Aberdeen. Both towns are kinda run down. Not like dirty and nasty, just looks like they've seen better days. Both towns looked as though ther had been stuff to do, but had fallen on hard times.
It pretty much ended up being a retired resort. Most of the people there were retired military with RV's.
Cheers,
Bubba
