I have never been blessed with a ride, but the research that I have done, says its about $2500/hour. I've seen it around $3500/hour too. A lot of that was this past summer when fuel was outrageous though.

The Dixie wing of the CAF has a P-51D in Fayetteville Georgia. I know they give rides in it, and they like AD military... Might want to contact them if you're serious. I got a couple of free rides in the EAA's B-17 when they didn't sell out.

I flew in a B-25 for like 150 bucks. The money went to keep it flying so I would have paid even more. Probably not as cool as flying in the warbirds pictured...but cool none the less and I will remember it forever.
