Sure, you can change them... but when you're dropping $500 already, why should you put up with grips that look like they came off of a cap gun?
Sounds like you need to lube the slide better. on 1911's if you don't have the slide lubed and it is a tight fit, you will get that problem.I finally got to take the new 1911 out to the range. I put a quick hundred rounds through it. What a fun gun to shoot. Only bitch I have so far is that I can't get the damn slide to slam home with a magazine in one handed.
