Hello!

I’m assuming you’re a fleet guy (or gal). Ask your CCC or better yet find an officer mentor or two in your command to help you instead of asking random strangers in the internet.

Hi! I have a question in regards to applying to Supply Officer.

I’m currently active duty, going on my second year of service. I have my degree in Public health and was thinking of going to med officer - hpsp but I don’t think I’ll get in because med officer recruiter said my mcat scores are “expired”.

I’m still going to apply for med school civilian but I’m getting burnt out with medicine which kinda sucks because my whole career has been medicine. But I don’t want to waste my bachelor since it’s sitting right now.

Can anyone a help me with some information about my possibility of becoming a Supply Officer before reporting to my COC about this decision? My gpa was 2.8 and I did take calculus (B+). My OAR I think was 42 (it’s been years since I maxed the test out because I tried going to OCS before enlisting).

How long is a supply officer contract? How does rotation go? Sea/Shore or mostly sea or shore?

Any information helps! I just want to make the best of what I got and offer it to the navy. Thanks!

Are you active duty Navy? You should be working with your CCC if that’s the case.

Yes I am.

I’ve been telling them different things but mainly wanted to do HPSP. But now I want to just use my degree and become an officer. Hence, why I’m looking for some information before I tell them I want to become a Supply Officer and put in my package. I’m picking for orders soon as well that’s why I’m kinda backing away from HPSP because results will come out way past from the time I pick orders.

If you decide the OCS route just make sure you follow OPNAVINST 1420.1B and working with your CCC. I would also suggest finding an officer mentor or two in your command to help you during the process.
