I'm putting a package together now, and I received a LOR from my previous skipper (not the formal skipper interview, just a basic 0-5 recommendation letter).
My question is: Where does it go? In the checklist at the back of the 1420.1a (which I have gone through many times trying to figure this out), there is no slot for arbitrary letters, only the formal CO recommendation and interviewer appraisal sheets. Am I supposed to just add it to the end of my package? I'm assuming I need at least three, as that seems to be the magic number.
Is a copy fine, or does the original need to be sent for that signature?
And I know this likely sounds silly, but the application online is in pdf, and you can't type in the blanks. Filling it out in pen seems not only inconvenient, but a bit unprofessional...
