Yeah, VFA-106 is the East Coast Hornet RAG (Legacy and Rhinos).

They still have legacy Hornets? Thought those were all going to Lemoore once VFA-106 transitioned.

Well, the East Coast needs Legacy crews too.
My guess is someone in power thought it'd be a better idea to have just one RAG for both aircraft despite the low commonality (What is it, 30% between Legacy and Rhinos?) as opposed to establishing a separate RAG like 122 and 125 at Lemoore.
But then again, I'm just thinking out loud here...
 
Here's a couple pics off the Navy's website of carrier quals on July 30, so apparently VFA-106 is still flying legacy Hornets.

See Squeeze, if you would have just answered the damn question in the first place, we wouldn't have 16 posts (including mine) debating the issue. I knew this would happen.
