I have heard of people doing 2 or 3 tours over seas (people re-enlisting) as infantry. They do a year at a time, i'm assuming, or 18 months. How many tours could a pilot expect to fly in, during war or not. I'm just wondering, if you do one tour in about 3-4 years as a Marine pilot, how many could you expect in an 8 year career? Or would the number depend on whether or not you volenteered go to war. Also, does being an officer change the number of times you go?
