I just read in this week's Navy Times that CHNAVPERS has created a new scoring process for the PRT that will take the average of your scores vice based on the lowest mark in any of the exercises. It goes on to say that even if you fail one of the exercises, you will pass the PRT if the average of all three scores is a passing grade. They expect the new changes to go into effect before the fall PRTs (at most commands, around October).
For those that aren't active duty: the Navy Times is nothing official but can provide some good gouge, but hold it with a grain of salt until you hear something official, like a NAVADMIN (your recruiter will know about this). With my own opinions aside, the program HAS received alot of complaints in the fleet since they changed the scoring system in 2000.
