New CH-46D Phrog Model (1/48)

For you modelers OR former Phrog drivers out there, I just received new release 1/48 model of CH-46D straight from Japan. It's really difficult to find a decent, not to mention larger size, model of a "D". This one is excellent in detail - looking forward to building.

That kit's been around for awhile. It gets re-poped every once in awhile. Heard good things about it.

It's not the Navy version, it's the 'Murica version.

Have also heard good things about the Academy H-46 kits. I've considered them but like jmcquate I find helo models daunting. Too many fiddly bits.

I've been fighting a bearcat for 6mo now. I've already broken one airbrush in the process. :/
