I for one am glad I already took it after hearing this. I'm not computer-retarded; I'm just "special" when it comes to computers. Guess it would take a while to implement this new section, but still very glad.
Haven't heard about this - have a link about it?

I was just saying that I was glad I didn't have to take the ASTB with the new section about computers; I have no idea if they will ever implement it into the test, or when if they do decide to add it (sure it would be a while: The last time they drastically changed it was 2004 (Added a suplimental section, took out the biography section, and split up the math/verbal sections and added Qs to each). It would take a long time to have the questions tested out and then factored into the final scores).
I'd doubt that C420sailor has a link though if he was among the A-pool guys to take the new section for NOMI. I'm guessing they were testing the difficulty of the questions or something having to do with the difficulty of the entire section (completly an assumption).
They made us all take it the day after we classed up for IFS. What a waste of my afternoon. The survey following the computer section was completely pointless. They don't take kindly to you putting one answer down the whole time and not reading it either, but what do I care.
As to your original question, the computer section was pretty difficult and beyond seeing how much you can frustrate someone I fail to see how that tests your ability to be a SNA/SNFO.

It was ridiculous. Demoralizing actually. They may as well just ditch the test part of the selection process and have applicants submit their Halo scores.
