I just PCSed to Corpus for T-44's, married, and have two dogs (Jack Russell, Lab). Does anyone have any gouge on any rentals that are pet friendly?

Three dogs two cats...contact Coldwell Banker Realty on the island. They found us a big list of places which were pet friendly and fairly reasonable.

If you see something you like maybe explaining your situation to the PM or owner will help. I know when we were looking for a rental it helped when I explained my husband was military, I was a stay at home Mom and we were completely willing to pay a deposit, etc. I can see it from both sides (since our tenants wanted a dog) and we were fine with it with a non-refundable pet deposit. Knowing you are military will get you further I think ;) Good Luck!

Base housing in Corpus isn't bad. I stayed there and they allow dogs.

I'm living on base in Corpus now.

I agree that the housing isn't bad. For O-1 BAH money, it's probably the one of the nicer places you'll find (utilities included), but I didn't have much time to look. Back yards, the pet deposit is $300 for the first and (I believe) $150 for the second. I should get $200 of my $300 deposit back when I move out (I have one dog).

At this point, I can't complain.
