Navy IRR to Active Duty in Another Branch? Is it possible?

I did not get the SWO pin. However, I was thinking about transferring to another branch. I would prefer active duty. Has anyone ever seen this done? I would appreciate any help.

I believe you can only go active to active, or reserve to reserve via interservice transfer. Supposedly it's easier to change services in the IRR, but the process of getting the scroll approved by SECDEF is a huge time waste. If you're serious about this, just know you'll have to be patient.

Have you heard of people who transferred in from the IRR. I could use some advice on how to do this. I think I am done with the Navy and I would like to try a different branch. I'm a prior enlisted Marines and I would like to return back to the branch
