I was wondering how many actually use this.Is this a popular way of getting prepared for a flight.

If so, I never used it for flights. Nor do I know anyone who did.

If you are goiong to use gouge to study for the flights, try brimble.com

it's based on an old syllabus... but if you can't find the info for a brief item anywhere else you might find it on navygouge.com

even though it is based on an older syllabus, a lot of the DIs are the same. But I mostly just use the FTI and NATOPs and the other issued pubs. If it's not in any of them, with the exception of bowties, it's pretty much just nice to know.
