Hey, I've been considering getting a motorcycle for a long time and I'm going to take the MSF course on the base pretty soon. I did a search and found some good threads on here, but most of them were pretty old. I'm curious, assuming I fill out the ORM sheet here at API and follow the DoD rules regarding clothing and equipment, what happens if I get injured? I understand if it's serious I'll get booted, but what about something temporary and that's recoverable? I'd appreciate any information on this, thanks.

It really depends on the seriousness of the injury. I know of a couple of people that were injured pretty severely in motorcycle accidents after primary. They were allowed to stay, but it just depends on all of the circumstances.

If you are in a motorcycle wreck and are injured, there will be a LODI. Line of Duty Investigation. No big deal.
As long as you wear your PPE, and are qualified (MSF, endorsement, insurance) you are good to go.

Yea, what he said. I have been that investigating guy on a few of these and, when the person in question did all that...and wasn't drunk/drugged, AWOL/UA, all turned out well.

Thanks, my biggest concern is that after working this hard for everything I'd lose my pilot spot. Rolling back wouldn't be as bad, but I can't afford to not be a pilot and at this point in the game, we're pretty disposable.
