Sarah and I spent six months deployed in the shittiest part of Africa imaginable on probably the smallest fob imaginable. Every day she had a smile, a great attitude, and was just a true pro. Sad to lose someone like her.

I spent a lot of time in medical during my time in CVW-11. She was always positive and very helpful.

HMs with helo squadrons qualify as SAR Medical Technicians (SMTs), fly as members of the crew, and can earn AC Wings.
Was it West Africa or East?
Most cvn HSC squadrons have two HMs that get their utility (crew chief) qual and some level of tactical qual.

Looks like the Navy has recovered the MH-60S and 5 bodies.
That’s good for the families, get some closure.
Hopefully they will have enough left of the helo for a good investigation.
