For all y'all in Meridian, if you haven't been to Jean's on Front St., you must go. It's really good Southern homestyle cooking.
 
If you're into country cookin and like buffets, their's a restaurant on Hwy 19 N just before you get to Backyard Burger (which makes the best cheeseburger in town) called Village Inn. Take a right at the stop light and it's right behind the Dollar Store. Great food!
 
That's where I went to school and where I plan on retiring. Beautiful and land is CHEAP! Meridian isn't so bad, if you're not so much into the "night scene." But, you've got to have HOBBIES!
