Is this the same for the Air Force?

Beats me.

I do know of a few folks who have been waivered for it....

from the guide: "WAIVER: In the absence of pathology and psychological factors that would otherwise be disqualifying, the condition may be NCD. Dietary manipulation is the only therapeutic intervention permitted, and the individual must be asymptomatic on diet alone. If other factors are present, waiver can be recommended for the condition provided the symptoms could be controlled.

In your case, I doubt this will be an issue, especially if changes in your diet help to elminate the IBS.

What pathologic and psycholgic effects? Well if I don't have ibs anymore and I dont have pathologic and psycholgic effects, so, I shouldn't have a problem.

Anyone one know anyone who has had to waiver this?

Jonnyboy, you haven't said whether you actually suffer from it or if you had it at one time. Believe it or not, it does matter, especially when going through some kind of military accession or doing a 2 or 3 bag hop in flight school. And I won't even get into the troubles it can bring up at SERE...

Also, what's your background? Are you in college applying for a commission? High school? It'll help to know where you are in order to give you better info.
