Looks like the 17th is a deadline to finally disarm Iraq. It seems to me that the UN is constantly pulling some dangerous ploy meant to draw us further into a world government trap.
First they say, "Ok if they don't disarm, then they'll have to face war with America."
Then they say, "Ok they're disarming 20 missiles, so that means they're complying with the resolution."
then it's, "we'll veto the new resolution because they're disarming, so don't even think about it."
Finally it boils down to, "Ummm...we don't want you to go to war with Iraq. If you do it will be against the will of the international community"
I personally think we wasted a lot of time with the UN. Bush was right the very first time when he said that the US will act alone if it has to in order to rid the world of evil. It looks like we're back to square one. All we did is haggle, which bought Saddam time to dig in deeper and deeper. Not just that. They're gonna make us look like the bad guys here if we end up going against the UN.
Is it me, or does it seem like the UN are on a mission to stifle us??
Looks like there will be no more UN or even a Nato for that matter--they're making themselves obselete by playing these dumb games.
