Mailing Out LORs

For everyone who is applying or has applied already, how long did it take for ur recruiters to get all ur LORs sent out and mailed back? I'm just wondering because i told my people that they should expect them in a few weeks, mainly because of the stagnent period during the holiday week. Just curious as to how long it took for everyone else to get them sent out and mailed back.

I sent the LOR forms and return envelopes out myself and then my recruiter notified me when they all came in. In general those letters take some time to write, but so does your motivational statement! Mine took about 3 weeks to get returned (but some had already written me letters so it was easy for them to do it again).

My recruiter emailed me a two sided PDF form. Basically said that the above named is applying for service ... plus a few questions asking them to rate my trustworthiness, adaptibility, leadership, etc. and space for a written statement.
Not sure it is essential, but it might help the referee focus on certain attributes needed for the service. I could email it to you if you'd like. 114 KB

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe you are referring to the form needed for Character References? 3 total I believe.

o.k. i guess it isn't that important because a lot of people seem to not have the form. i guess it's merely a possible extra a person can submit but i don't know, anyone know anything about this form?

The Marine OSO I went to just asked us to give the name and address of the folks we wanted our letters sent to. Then they sent out a standard questionarre with an envelope for the people to mail it back. It couldn't have been easier.
