What's up guys, long time no see eh? It's been pretty busy for a lot of people here, myself included. I just finished passing the first of many tests, the EL portion of the ASVAB. Then, it finally dawned on me that I was joining the military for something, that even five years ago, I would not have thought of. However, there are a few questions that I have about parts of everything that I rather here from a first hand perspective than my Marine OSO. He's cool as s@#%, but he seems to not know the answers to these questions.
1. What exactly does the initial flight physical consist of? I have already read the journal entry, but aren't they less leinent once you have had a through exam?
2. What are the opportunities to cross train into another field in say, ten to tweleve years of service. I got kinda of interested in being a Tank or Field Artillery Officer after being a pilot.
3. I already read about how some people just put pilot on their requests, which is cool. However, can you have your list somewhat like this: 1. Pilot 2.WSO 3.ECMO?
4. Are there any other ways to fly regularly in the Marines besides Pilot/NFO? WHat I am referring to are some of the Aircrew Options avialable in the other services, such as Air Battle Manager and Airborne Comms Officer?
Thanks for any of the answers to these questions.
