New to the board.

Just did a search on this and nothing really popped up. I was wondering about NAVY to Marine lateral transfers for helo pilots? Does anyone have any information on this? Do they allow this? If so, When?

Just throwing this topic out to see if anyone has some information.

idrive,

I'd give a Marine OSO (Officer Recruiter) a call and see if that's an option. They're probably your best source!

I've seen it happen several times. Usually occurs when the Corps is short of pilots. When you graduate helos and get winged, you then go off to TBS for 6 months before going to the FRS. As you can imagine, it is very competitive and requires strong endorsements from the squadron's senior Marine and staff, as well as the CO and MATSG. Wish I could see the instructors at TBS when the 2nd Lt shows up wearing pilot wings....

Hey everyone thanks.

I will have to check with a Marine Recruiter and see where they send me.

Background:
I am already winged and in a fleet squadron half way done with my first tour, so I was just thinking about this.
