Lat Xfer Flight Physical

I'd appreciate advice and helpful info from anybody better informed and connected than I am right now. I got NPQd due to a high blood pressure reading a day prior to graduating OCS. They told me they needed to do a 3 day test to do a final determination, but given that it didn't come up until the day before I graduated, there wasn't time to do that.

I got my SWO qual during this deployment, and am planning to put in for a lat xfer into Pilot or NFO.
Already contacted Millington, and was told that I'm a strong candidate for a transfer assuming I pass a flight phys in time.

I'm confident I'll pass everything this time around...I've gone 2 years now without any high bp readings, and I get the suspicion the high ones came from using a small cuff.

The problem is timing...specifically getting the flight phys done before the board convenes.
I get back from deployment in late October, RTHP in Norfolk.
I'm trying to see if I can conduct a walk in physical in either Souda Bay or Rota.

Other options are waiting to get back to get it done at Sewell's Point, Oceana, or even take leave to go down to Pensacola if necessary. Any place where I can either set it up in advance without a huge lead time or a walk in capability is basically waht I need.

Second question is if a waiver is required if I was NPQ previously for blood pressure, but a recently conducted flight physical shows no problems. In which case obviously, I'd need to factor that into when I get the flight phys done.

Any informed advice would be greatly appreciated. Biggest obstacle to this that I've got is shitty connectivity while deployed. The other being that our IDC doesn't have too much experience with something like this, which is why I'm doing most of the legwork myself.

Sewell's Point may be your best bet. Are you in company with a CVN? Perhaps you can get over to the CV to get a physical.

Negative, independent deployer.

I've been trying to call over to Rota's and Oceana's appointment desks, but the time zone difference is making it difficult.
Sewell's Point I've heard is a three week wait after you even walk in to see a flight doc to set up a date.

Getting away from Norfolk for a physical won't be a big deal once I get back...I've got tons of leave, nice long standdown on RTHP, and command support as I'm slated to leave a few months later anyway.

Tried contacting NAMI at their website's contact for the flight physicals department to find out if I'll need a waiver and the inevitable extra processing time, but the email address seems to be invalid.

BigRed, check your PM. I sent an email address for the OIC at Oceana. Hope this helps.
