Some of my good buds' bands are playing gigs...looking fwd to going. (I've been wanting to hit up SXSW for years and have just never made it out to TX for it!)

I've wanted to go for a while too. Never have the money for a ticket though. So many good bands that come in for that, it's amazing.

Yeah, I think I'm just going to do the "ala carte" thing and pay door covers at a few places. Other than that, I'm hoping to get hooked up with a "list spot" for my friends' shows. I only plan on going for a night or 2, so the $450 ticket for the week seems ludicrous.

port o call has a free poker tournament a couple nights a week that was popular with the studs when i was there. You should check in to it.

2 1/2 days since the last posting....? thread resurrection anyone?

Movers are coming tomorrow, and I'm leaving for Kingsville Fri... so the invitation stands... who's up for a beer and/or poker to welcome the new guy to the block?
