Just got a remington model 11

Got gifted a Remington model 11 the other day by my father that once belonged to my grandfather. Serial number and barrel marking lead me to believe that it was produced in December 1922. It still has the original blue on it, but it is far from perfect condition.

My grandpa was quite the sportsman. He never owned a safe queen in his life and that shotgun was a tool for him, so I'm going to take it trap shooting as soon as I can. My grandpa shot 100 clays in a row with that gun more than once, so I can't blame the equipment if I shoot bad.

If it doesn't have a manual (hah, I'm sure) write to Browning and get one for the A-5 so you can figure out how to adjust the friction rings for the recoil system for light and heavy loads. Started out with my Grandfather's M11 myself, a twenty gauge that I killed a boatload of pheasants with.

The digi cam took a crap on me recently. I'll take a pic of the whole family real soon. In 10 days, I should have a new M9A1 to add to the portrait.

As soon as I get a chance to shoot some trap (any safe place to shoot trap is about an hour drive) I'll let you know what I think of it.

I can tell you this much so far and I'm sure you already knew this. John Moses Browning was freaking brilliant. I now own two weapons that he designed. Field stripping and cleaning them is beyond easy.
