It's not a Colt its a Ruger.

It's a Ruger 'Hawk in .45 Colt ... a caliber that is the true "thinking man's Magnum".

Ruger first made these in the late 60's/early 70's and it enabled shooters to utilize the full length of the .45 Colt case. It sported a much stronger frame for heavier loadings than the single action Army Colts would allow .... so yeah, it could be a righteous price ... in any case -- good job, Doc.
