Remember during the beginning of OIF when they released the Iraqi playing cards, with a picture of major players in the Baath regime in Iraq? Ever wondered http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/iraq/leader-cards.htmto all those guys (some still at large)?
I bet those guys are holed up somewhere in Iran or Syria waiting it out.. Doesn't surprise me, though, that the Intel Director is still at large - typical spooks..
- 42 out of 55 accounted for
- 40 out of 53 in custody (only 13 to go)
- 2 confirmed dead (Saddam's sons - Uday & Qusay)
- 4 of the remaining 13 are originally from Tikrit, Saddam's hometown.
- 4 of the 13 don't even have a mugshot that we can definitely place them in.
- 3 of the 13 are Baath Party Regional Commanders
- Deputy Commander of Armed Forces, Director of Intelligence Services, Republican Guard Chief of Staff, Director of General Security are still at large
- Saddam's nephew and key bodyguard (2 seperates) are still at large.
