Hello, all. I stumbled upon this site today during a google search for one of the many medical forms required and thought I could learn a thing or two here. This was my first year applying and I am a FY06 STA-21 Selectee, NFO option (too old for pilot option *adjusts colostomy bag*) and I will be reporting to NSI on February 19th. I'm not looking forward to the New England winter at all, but I'm sure I'll adjust after a few early morning freeze-out PT sessions.

Anyhow, a bit about myself: I've been in for a little over 9 years and I am currently stationed at COMFLEACT YOKOSUKA in Japan. I've been over here for over 7 years now and I'm ready to move on to Europe. I am an FC1, although I started my Navy career as a DS, made DS3 before it was phased out. I test for FCC in January and suddenly I find myself extremely busy with college apps, medical screenings, a test to study for, some college classes, and my regular job. I've started to wonder if I'm going to have any game time when that new XBox360 hits my living room:icon_mi_1 . Oh, I'll be dragging a wife and a 2.5 y.o. son to college with me.

Well, hopefully I'll get to know some of you all better over the next couple months and find out what's in store for us at NSI.

NSI is a breeze. We marched to an from classes, and the cold was annoying. However, the galley was not a boot camp styled ordeal, and there was plenty of downtime. We started off dressed as smurfs, and we did not have liberty for the first couple of weekends. However, after the first month it was easy.
What college are you looking at?

Well, I was going to make a run at MIT, but I don't have the calculus required as a transfer student, so Miami University (Ohio, not Florida) is next on my list.

Okay, I do have a question about MIT. What's the tuition costs there? I'm going to take a swag and say it'll easily cover the 10k that we get a year. But hey, that's your choice, good luck with it!
