My old roommate knew a cop who had been in a few gunfights with gangstas who shot sideways. He loved it, saying that since they fired like they were throwing the bullets at you, they couldn't hit sh!t. Thus, they just waited for them to run out of ammo and then shot them in the legs.

Sounds like bullsh!t to me. Ever seen videos of gunfights? They're fast, brutal, and no one is waiting around to shoot people in the legs. That, and very few police officers have been in gunfights, let alone a FEW gunfights. I think he was pulling your leg.

Yeah...gotta agree....just thinking about that logically, no cop is going to sit around and count rounds downrange...guess the type of firearm, then, cool as a cucumber going to step out and shoot the perp in the leg. Just doesn't make sense. There is a reason police train for center-mass shots...if they are shooting...the target is going down...for keeps. Its called deadly force for a reason.
