How much time between API and Primary

How much time do they give you to move from API to Primary. I am going from P-cola (of course) to Chorpus. Also I am planning a on gettied married the weekend after I am out of API and was wondering if anyone knew if it would create a problem and interfere with training.

Well, just don't plan on much of a honeymoon. Unless it's starting to change, the guys that are going to Corpus usually check out on a Friday morning and have to check in on the following Monday. Always exceptions, but that's usually the way it goes.

Thank you for the help. Yeah I was not planning a honeymoon until after all of my training is done. I knew that wasn't a possibility during training and I am ok with that. But the Wedding is on Sat. and it will be easy to be back to work on Monday.

Best of luck but I hope you didn't screw yourself over. Finishing API, moving, getting married, and checking into TW-4 in the span of 72 hours: now that's a busy weekend.

Ok maybe I misunderstood one of the post as saying while at Chorpus you Have weekends off. I will finish API and move and then the next weekend get married. Sorry for the confusion.

May not be such a good idea because you could possibly be in the middle of ground school. It would be better to find a known 3 day weekend during your training and do it then.

Just checked in to Corpus so the gouge doesn't get much more recent.

Check-out of NASC on Friday
Check-in to TW4 on Monday
Briefs Tuesday-Friday
Friday could be your first day of ground school, if not, it will be the next Friday.

I checked in with 7 others, 4 start ground school this Friday, the others start next Friday.

And no, leave was not authorized to extend our drives down.

Hope this helps.....

Being at Corpus.

I left on Friday, drove to Corpus and signed lease on Saturday.
Ground School started Monday.

I barely had time to get movers around at a decent time to get my stuff. Ground School was during all the times that they delivered (Not on Weekends)

You will not get leave. You will not get leave to get married, you are there for training. Weekends are iffy.

SO time to get married? No, you dont have time.

Wait til after deployment. For the love of god listen to the older and wiser people on this forum.

If you're looking to get married the weekend after you check in there and already expect to have to wait for leave for the honeymoon, you should be just fine. If you start by that time (which the recent trend says you will) you'll still be in ground school which means you will not have class on Saturday or Sunday. You're not missing any training days or any flying days, because you aren't flying yet. It shouldn't be a problem.
