How long is the time between 1st and 2nd tours if 2nd tour is on a DDG?

I know officers will have to go to classes for their 2nd ship and the classes will depend on their billet. But on average, if someone is going to a DDG, about how long can they expect to be in schools for before checking into their ship?

It can vary between 2-4 months for a DDG Divo. Aside from billet, you'll probably get some collaterals as well that require schools en route to your ship.

I'd say about four-six months, most of my buddies had it that way. Just accounting for i-stops, school dates + length, etc. It was four for me from DDG to LPD.
