High Speed Taxi Demo Turns into Takeoff (plus interesting backstory)

Don't know how it works in the Victor but in C-130 land the flying pilot has the nose-wheel steering and the throttles until yoke becomes effective at which point the non-flying pilot transfers yoke. So I don't get why the co-pilot would have anything to do with the throttles.

***EDIT*** The old "Overhead Throttles Trick" I should have known! But still it seems like a dumb procedure.
