I'm currently a fleet H-60 pilot and I'm on LIMDU for chronic headaches/myofacial pain. I've been to every specialist in the area and nothing has helped. I believe I'm looking at a medical board and possible redesignation and have no idea what's going to happen to me. Does anyone know how this process works or what options I'll have for a new job? Please help!

Cluster headaches?
I hope it works out for you; my wife has had cluster headaches (and the associated facial pain) for about 17 years, and I know how debilitating it can be.
Sorry that I don't have any suggestions other than that it sounds like it will be a medical decision, so medical types could probably give you the best answer on what your options are.

Went through an MEB myself. The single greatest lesson I learned was that nobody cares more about what will happen to you than you do. Start digging into the applicable refs and get yourself smart, because you MAY be lucky enough to have a flight surgeon that's well-versed on the process, but probably not.

If you don't already have one, request that your flight surgeon set you up with a patient advocate at your Branch Health Clinic. They should be able to help you sort through the BUMED madness.
If you haven't already, start looking at lat-xfer options. Some communities have age limits. OCMs are your source for the best info on what each community is looking for, and what their numbers look like.

Scoob speaks the truth. You are your own best advocate. Goes without saying to keep copies of everything. I went through the pilot program in DC where they combined the PEB with the VA evaluation. It added a layer of pain but was doable. Your doctor's opinion and the MEB results will carry the most weight at the informal PEB (this is the one where you are not present) and your command's Non Medical Assessment will carry the most weight at a formal PEB (2 Line officers, 1 Dr). My docs worked with me and we jointly wrote their recommendation. Same with NMA. That gave me some ability to influence the process. PM me if you have any questions
