Haircuts for Females at OCs

My report date for OCS is 26 Oct. I live in San Diego and can be considered a "California girl"; I live a block from the beach, spend most of my free time in the ocean, am a vegetarian, etc... I have a question that no one seems to be able to answer, not even my recruiter. Do women get their hair chopped off when they get to OCS? I want to know if I should get my long hair cut before I go; I really don't want some barber shop guy to pull my hair back in a ponytail and cut it off.

How's the beach? I'm from Chula Vista, what city are you from? The rumor on the haircut for women is that they get their air chopped shoulder length. For the males, they cut their hair even if they are bald. I don't know if they will cut it if your hair is already short enough.

the haircut will be around neck level. Mari....remember me talking to you about the swim way back in the day? Well, my mile swim was today....62 minutes and breaststroked the whole thing just like you said! now i gotta study for the Engines test Friday and then figure Navigation out. Hehehe. anyways, hope all is well.
