or whatever they're called....

Any updates? I'm considering getting re-mounts done on all my mini and full size stuff, and I really dont wanna do it twice before I head to South America. The Nav has been dragging ass on this forever.

On a side note, I have ultrathins, and if you buy these and have to wear khakis and flight jacket a lot (like I do right now) be ready to lose/replace a lot of devices. I guess putting on/taking off the coat pulls on em. Kind of pisses me off since they ran me 30-some bucks for 9 awards. The edges are just starting to slightly fray as well. I should have laquered em or something.

BTW, sorry for so many posts lately, I'm trying to keep them relevant and helpful if possible. Zero interaction with anything Naval Aviation related at work is killing me. You think Academy and TBS stories at API are bad? Try Army kids telling boot tales all day..."My Drill Sergeant was sooooo mean"....

The Navy has not officially published the criteria for the awards yet, I think they are the only service that hasn't. There is an awards website that will publish them when the criteria finally comes out, ask a Navy admin type about it.

As far as I can tell, from visiting the Navy Awards website (see info and links below), the medal is approved, but we are waiting on the Eligible Units to go through the chop chain....

From the Navy Awards website, dated 16APR04:

One thing to add, the units eligible will probably only be ones that were in the AOR for 30 days or more, that is usually the magic number for campaign awards. One of the big exceptions being aircrew who flew missions in the AOR (if you got green ink you probably rate the medal).
