A great place to live is opening up on N. Padre Island. The unit is in the Las Palmas Condos.
Four Marines have lived here for the past 7 months during Primary and we loved it. It is owned by a Navy reservist who fly's for Southwest and is very helpful towards student military aviators.
The unit has 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths spread across three stories. The condos are only about a year old and have very modern design. The complex has a great island themed pool and the unit has an ocean view. This place is quite large, and provides tenants with plenty of personal space. Drive time to NASCC is about 10 minutes.
Rent for the entire unit is $2195/mo. With four roommates the cost comes to a little over $500/mo per person (which is about half of BAH for 0-1 in this area). Depending on the number of occupants, the owner is willing to negotiate the price.
