Congrats on getting Trawing 5. The course rules are a pain in the butt but so far its been worth it

Course rules aren't that bad, just keep the thought in the back of your mind that it will all make sense the first time you see the rules. But until then, get used to all the Navy jargon like "geedunk" (snacks) and "1st Lieutenant's office" (janitor closet/storage room). Freakin' weird man, freakin' weird...

Nope...I'm straight out of the box! Will be leaving my AFROTC Det in Texas.
As far as API...well I'm just going to prepare myself for a long wait. Although, I've been hearing rumors that the pilot types are classing up rather quickly come June.

Until then, I'll just keep a humble attitude and hope for the best. It's been awhile sine I've been back to FL. The wife and I are looking forward to coming back. I'll have to stop by and visit some of my old college buds from JU at good old Comair Aviation Academy. Poor *******s are probably still stuck as IPs making a whopping $10 per hour waiting for that jump to Regionals.:turtle_12

Don't listen to these guys about the wait for VT-3. We're zipping through now. We went from not enough instructors to too many. I was AFDO last week and it's almost like the IPs are on standby now, hanging out at the flight shack waiting for a student.

I certainly hope thats the case however I hardly call doing a 6 month program in 7 months zipping...but like you said better than before...

It just started recently. I finished weather on March 1 and had Fam 0 the following Monday. I have Fam 5 and BI 1 today. The only reason it's taken this long is because I was med down for a week and because there were so many people in the sims, I didn't get double pumped for any of them. The class behind me is half way through BI sims already.

Must be nice. I waited 2 months to start, and it took over a month to get through the first block of fams. Now I'm in forms and zooming along, hoping to be done by June and out of this ignorant (Milton) hell hole.
