just showed up to primary and looking for scenery to use with flight Simulator X in order to practice some of my flights prior to the real deal. Any idea where I can pick up some or if anyone sells it?

I hear people mentioning you can get it at the wing or squadrons but nothing outside of this forum. Thanks.

also, what is the best t-34C model out there right now to pick up for flight sim?

Because it's required.....

Did you do a search?

yup. I found the alphasim models but those were just listed as A and B

I also found the NAS field but would like to get some actual land scenery/objects that I would use to fly off of in a real flight.

STUDY YOUR PROCEDURES AND EPs ... it will take you a lot further than scenery on a flight sim.

Yeah, what he said. Seriously...just study your EPs and Procedures and the rest will follow through. I know through my limited, but very real, experience.

Thanks for the tip. I have been going through EP's and the System book for now (dont class up till monday).

On the scenery note, I found a program called "TileProxy" to use google earth and virtual earth images within FSX.

As for the T-34C... still no success in finding a good one for FSX

Go to Ben's Gouge and download the Google Earth course rules. It's not exactly what you're looking for but it might help. Also, the course rules map and engine compartment diagrams in the VT-2/6 bldg are good to look over.

However, I completely agree wrt EP's and Systems. Focus on those. The program is designed to be paced for someone who is able to be a naval aviator to do fine, so don't worry too much about studying everything before starting. In fact, a lot of guys try to do that, and maybe it was just that they personally needed it, but they (on average) didn't seem to do a whole lot better. There is such a thing as over studying.
