As a SNFO in the academic phase of Primary, I was wanting to know if there are a list of websites most commonly used for infofamtion gathering, format, etc... for giving your IP a brief. I am still a little ways away from my contact flights, but I was wanting to build my "favorites" now instead of waiting.

Alot of people use www.baseops.net. It is a one stop shop for weather, NOTAMS, Bird strike forcast, Airfield suitability, TFRs, etc. One of the links also takes you to a place that you put in the airport ID and it'll bring up all the info for that airport (an airport diagram, FLIP low altitude approaches to that airport, nearby NAVAIDS, SIDS, etc)

I would recommend he visit the ready rooms of a few studs as they set up briefing boards and see what they use. He'll have plenty of time to do that. May even be able to sit in the back and listen in as well.
