To answer your question, no it’s your responsibility to inform your recruiter during initial screening and/or filling out the questionnaire with your recruiter.

The fact you use the word “catch” is suspect of the story not being told here.

Looking through OP's history (which is searchable even if you make your profile private, which some people don't seem to understand . . . the internet lives forever), you're absolutely correct.

And to your point, MEPS shouldn't have to "catch" anything. If you have an underlying condition, it's on you to be honest about it. OP's mother may very well be a piece of work, but as others have mentioned there is more to the story here.

I wish OP and others trying to join the best of luck in their endeavors. But I don't support dishonesty.
