Admin is at war every day. The only time people visit admin is when something is jacked up - nobody ever just walks into the -1 and says, "Great job, Marines!"

I think a good knowledge of basic admin and medical procedures goes a long way towards looking out for the welfare of your Marines. I wish that the NCO schools and TBS would spend more time teaching how admin/medical really works. It would save a lot of heartache for the leaders, for admin, and (most importantly) for the Marines.

USMCBill, thank you for the information. What proof of hardship would I need? Would I need proof of her salary plus our debts (mortgage and utility bills)?

For some reason the link to the MCO will not open for me, give it a try. I'm also going to give you the link to the Personnel administration school's student guide on Depn application and BAH, it's in a very easy to read format and also explains depn eligibility according to the MCO. I dont have an exact answer, but I'll show you where to find it. Let me know if you have any questions.

You can never be caught up on admin, hahaha! They're always changing the manuals. Just remember to throw out the old one when you get a new one, hahaha! :icon_wink
