Failing PRT

I have heard that you get rolled to the next class if you fail your in PRT, the question I have is does this effect you negatively on your permanent record? If so how bad? If i'm heading to become and NFO afterwards what happens to my spot there, do i still keep it? Any help on any any of these questions is greatly appreciated.

No permanent impact, except to your reputation among your peers. Nothing happens to your designator. Show up in shape so you won't have to worry about it.

I'm working my butt off to get back into shape but illness and an injury have set me back majorly.
