earning degrees on cruise

just had a question. is it impossible to earn a second degree on cruise or while deployment. because i know schedules are pretty hectic. and aviators earn a second degree while being in the fleet. i am very interested in getting a second degree in a foreign language.

For both my floats, you could sign up for classes before you departed, but that was in 95 & 97. I had a couple of buddies knock out more than half a BS/BA while on ship. We (BLT)spent almost 2 months in Kumait involved in a CAX (both floats), so that left just 4 months to take classes. If they offered a degree in Spades, I'd have a P.H.D....hee hee.

Has anyone been on a recent float and can comment on this?
