E2/C2 transition

Anyone ever heard of E2/C2 guys making a switch to strike after their first E2 sea tour? Possible to put in a package for the 18 RAG after instructing T-45's? Ive heard mixed opinions on the probablity.

I've heard of it . . . like everything, it requires timing and luck. There is an E-2 instructor here at Meridian who was trying and was denied - but we're oversubscribed for jets by 60 pilots, so that would explain that. However, if the timing is good, then you could have it happen. I would just say plan your career around not transitioning. Best of luck.
